The trio is at 53 Charles St tonight, Thursday 10 March - come on down!Next Tuesday our special guest artist is guitarist Van Manakas who has a list of collaborators ranging from Patty Loveless to the Gil Evans Orchestra. His most recent solo album is called American Guitar. In 2010 he completed and released Leavin' Tennessee, a collaboration with longtime friend and colleague, the late, great mandolin virtuoso Butch Baldassari.
We'll probably play a lot of Fiddlin' Arthur Smith tunes - here's a little clip of Andy,Van and Jim playing one called Fiddler's Dream.
