Punch Brother and award winning banjo player Noam Pikelny joins the Andy Statman Trio on Tuesday 12 July at the Charles Street Synagogue (53 Charles @ West 4th) as our last guest star before a three week break (though Andy and Larry will do one last duo evening on Thursday 14 July).  Music around 9 PM, drinks on the house (requested  music donation $15)

We're done with Charles Street until after the holidays, but Andy and Larry have a duo show at Barbés in Park Slope on Thursday April 14th at 10 pm.

 Our final guest artist before the holiday break is accordionist and ethnomusicologist Lauren Brody, a standout in the worlds of klezmer and Bulgarian music.  She joins us Tuesday April 5th at the Charles Street Synagogue at 9 PM - plus, it's Jim Whitney's birthday! The Bulgarian slivovitz should flow freely.

Catfish for Supper, Tuesday March 29th

Guitarist Jon Sholle joins Andy Statman's Trio at 9 pm on Tuesday March 29th at the Charles Street Synagogue.  Jon will add another credit to his already ridiculously long list with the release of Andy's forthcoming Old Brooklyn set.

Jon and guitarist Hiro Arita dropped in on Andy at the Synagogue last year - here's a video clip, and you can read up on Jon's doings here.

Also - the final guest before the holiday break will be klezmer accordionist and Bulgarian-music-archivist Lauren Brody on Tuesday, April 5th (also Jim's birthday party!).  The Slivovitz will flow freely.

Tuesday @ Charles St - Special Guest Charlie Giordano

Tuesday night, March 22nd @ 9PM, the Trio welcomes accordionist Charles Giordano to Charles Street.  Charlie, Larry's Springsteen bandmate and current E-Street keyboardist, recorded A Freylekhn Purim with Andy and the trio for a Smithsonian release a while back, so this will be a timely reunion.
